The book What Can Common Sense  Do for Social Theory: Towards a Pragmatic Understanding of Praxis explores types of everyday knowledge that we necessarily rely on and thus often implicitly call common sense. Drawing on the legacy of pragmatism in sociology, Srdjan Prodanović seeks to show that common sense has an internal structure and dynamic, which calls into question the established view that this type of knowledge has no epistemological value, nor can be the foundation for any critical insight. The study suggests that a deeper understanding of this structure is crucial for any type of social theory that aspires to be engaged.
