The book by Željko Radinković deals with technology and techné as the central determinants of human existing in the world. Technology follows us throughout our lives, but also the human species since its inception. It impacts individual, social, even humanity’s biological life in myriad ways, sometimes in less than overt ways. With this in mind, this book looks at the historical development of thinking about technology, its articulation in contemporary concepts of theories of action, anthropological definitions of technology, phenomenological approaches to it as an integral part of life, the mediality of technology, and finally questions of ethics and technology assessment.
