Zarić Zona

Research Assistant





Zona Zarić is a researcher in the final year of her PhD in political and moral philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure PSL in Paris (ED540, Archives Husserl UMR 8547), under the direction of Marc Crépon and Cynthia Fleury. Her thesis entitled : Phenomenology of a Politics of Compassion, explores the manner in which compassion can be mobilised to promote a more inclusive society by drawing on the moral sensibilities of the broader culture. She teaches a seminar at the newly created Philosophy Chair at Hôtel-Dieu in Paris, entitled Care and Compassion: the individual and the polis. A native Serbian speaker and fluent in French, English and Spanish, she is translating works of philosophy from French to Serbian, notably those of her thesis director, the head of the philosophy department of the École Normale Supérieure, Marc Crépon. She holds a law degree from the University of Belgrade and a master’s degree in international relations from the American University of Paris.
