Etienne Balibar – Annual Award For Critical Engagement “Miladin Životić”

The Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade is proud to announce that this year’s annual award “Miladin Životić” awarded for critical engagement to theorists whose work has had a significant impact on society, will be conferred to Etienne Balibar. The event, co-hosted by the Center for Advanced Studies of Southeast Europe, University of Rijeka and the Center for Critical Democracy Studies of The American University of Paris will be held on on December 11th 2020, starting at 3.30 PM (CET).

Etienne Balibar is one the most well known contemporary french philosophers and academics. He taught at the University of Paris X-Nanterre and the University of California Irvine and is currently Anniversary Chair Professor at the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy (CRMEP) at Kingston University and Visiting Professor at the Department of French and Romance Philology at Columbia University.
