[Book promotion] Nature, Soul, and Happiness: The Fundamentals of Epicurean Ethics, by Ivan Nišavić (EduLab)
🗓 March 14 🕒 19:00 CET 🔹 Klub DOB
The book Nature, Soul, and Happiness: The Fundamentals of Epicurean Ethics was jointly published by “Akademska knjiga” from Novi Sad and the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory from Belgrade (link).
The book delves into Epicurean philosophy and it is based on the analysis of its three main and inseparable aspects: 1. the science of nature (physics), 2. the process of gaining knowledge (epistemology) and 3. ethics (enjoyment). The goal is to highlight how the theoretical and practical facets of Epicurus’ philosophy are interwoven, as well as to show its significance for every person, regardless of age, social status, or any personal or social aspirations and preferences.
