[Book seminar] Todor Kuljic – Manifesto of the Left’s Memory (YugoLab)
🗓 24. February 🕒 10:45am 🔹 IFDT/online
“In this book again, Todor Kuljić shows his exceptional ability to connect the theoretical and analytical dimension with the political-practical dimension. He is an author who insists that reality must be interpreted (apprehended) and changed in a new way, thus his works are constantly and continuously focused on these two tasks. They help us to see the world differently. The non-dogmatic approach he proves with this book constitutes a civic courage, since it is unique in the wave of nationalistic, plagiaristic common sense (in the sense of repeating the same thing and what is well known). However, at the same time, it must be said that Kuljić is one of the few contemporary authors who writes books and articles on topics that are extremely present in the global academic and intellectual production today. Many of them deal with the culture of memory, discourses and ideologies, identities and interpretations of the past. However, there are very few people in our region who have such a clear dimension as Todor Kuljić in terms of public engagement through books.”
