
[Conference] A Sustainable Development Model for Archaeological Parks in the Adriatic-Ionian Region

The Project TRANSFER – Integrated management models of archaeological parks, co-financed by the European transnational programme ADRION (Interreg V-B Adriatic-Ionian Programme), promotes different levels of cooperation between countries situated in the Adriatic Ionian area. The TRANSFER project involves 12 partner organizations from six ADRION countries from Italy, Albania, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, and Serbia, while the project leader is University of Macerata in Italy.
The Final European Conference A Sustainable Development Model for Archaeological Parks in the Adriatic-Ionian Region aims to present all key project results, experiences as well as strategic tools that have been created during the project implementation.
The overall aim of the project is to develop, transfer and disseminate the Common Governance Model for archaeological parks enhancing the preservation and valorization of archaeological heritage within the Adrion area. Archaeological parks that have been used as case studies to implement and test the model are: Urbs Salvia (Italy), Antigonea (Albania), Ptuj (Slovenia), Dodona (Greece), Omišalj and Šibenik (Croatia).
