Presentation of Philosophie Magazine, edited by Dr. Eltchaninoff. It is a monthly magazine founded in 2006, with the aim of discussing current affairs through the prism of philosophy and social sciences. The magazine has one editorial office in Paris, and one in Berlin for the German version of the magazine. The magazine has 63,000 readers (according to the official source Etude ACPM (Alliance pour les chiffres de la presse et des médias).
A conversation on the topic “When Russia inspires Silicon Valley” – In his latest book, Lénine a marché sur la lune. La folle histoire des cosmistes et transhumanistes russes published in France in January 2022, Eltchaninoff tells an unusual story how 19th century Russian cosmists and transhumanists has inspired American transhumanism.
Discussion on how Vladimir Putin uses the thought of Russian philosophers to create his vision of the world, which is based on conservative doctrine, on the appeal to Russian identity and on the Eurasian project. Eltchaninoff attampts to define “Putinism” as a project, which at the same time strives to strengthen the Russian identity, and to win the sympaties of the whole world. According to Eltchaninoff, Putin has developed a rhetoric that represents an alternative to the rhetoric of liberal modernity and in the name of his vision of the world, he started a war in Ukraine.
In addition to the author Dr. Michel Elčaninoff, a French philosopher, an expert on Russian philosophy and the editor-in-chief of Philosophie Magazine, Dr. Romilo Aleksandar Knežević (University of Niš) and Dr. Nemanja Škrelić (Orthodox Institute of Saint Sergius in Paris) also participate in the talk.
