[Panel discussion] What do we mean when we say… good society?

On June 16, 2022, the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory (IFDT) is organizing the promotion of a new edition called Trg in the Polet Art Gallery. As part of the promotion, a series of 8 publications will be presented, by the authors who are experts from various fields of social life and who have tried to articulate the outlines of radically different policies for the future of our society.
The editors of the series are Dušanka Milosavljević, Miloš Janković and Gazela Pudar Draško, and the speakers at the event will be the authors of publications and lecturers of the School of a Better Future: Sara Nikolić, researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory, Predrag Momčilović, PhD student at the Faculty of Geography in Belgrade and Stefan Gužvica, researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory. The keynote speaker and moderator will be Milos Jankovic, on behalf of the editorial team.
In addition to the Trg edition, in May, the School of a Better Future was organized for students of all levels of studies, in which some of the authors of the publications and other experts took part as lecturers and mentors. After a series of online lectures organized within the School of a Better Future, this event is also an opportunity for the first joint gathering of students of the School, authors and lecturers. During the event, students who attended the lectures of the School of a Better Future will be awarded certificates.
The publications and a program “School of a Better Future” were created within the project “Lessons Learned of the Socialist Model in Serbia” implemented by the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory of the University of Belgrade in partnership with the Institute for Democratic Engagement Southeast Europe, with the support of the Open Society Foundation.
