Jelena Ćeriman, Irena Fiket, Krisztina Rácz (urednice) Žongliranje između patrijarhata i prekarijata : usklađivanje porodičnih i profesionalnih obaveza akademskih radnica

Based on empirical findings, we argue that academic work is characterized by implicitly patriarchal and precarious features. In this study, the state of higher education is interpreted through the prism of general neoliberal transformation of university, with a particular consideration of peripheral position of Serbia in the global system of knowledge production. This volume offers a view of the possibilities for changes of the hierarchically positioned higher education system, questioning the private/public divide in everyday life of women, academic workers at the University of Belgrade. Juggling Between Patriarchy and Precarity is intended for anyone who wishes to understand how engagement ‘within the private sphere’ can lead to social changes.
