Leandra Bias is a third year doctoral candidate in Politics at Oxford University, where she had previously also completed an MPhil in Russian and East European Studies. In September 2017, Leandra Bias did a two-weeks research stay with the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory, where she worked under the supervision of Dr. Adriana Zaharijević. This collaboration had been the primary motivation behind Bias’ application for a short-term fellowship, because she wished to receive extensive feedback on her DPhil thesis in Politics, which was at the time pursued at Oxford on the topic of transnational feminism in authoritarian times, from one of the leading experts in the field. Another highlight of her stay in Belgrade was a co-organised presentation of Bias’ preliminary findings at the Women’s Studies Centre in Belgrade.
