DigiLab: Digital Society Lab is a place of stimulating ideas and interdisciplinary research where the humanities meet social sciences and information technologies. Our team explores various socio-technological phenomena and addresses the key issues and challenges of modern society and the data-driven world we live in.

DigiLab: Digital Society Lab brings together scholars from various fields such as social psychology, philosophy of technology, critical theory, digital humanities, theory of new media art and culture, and communication studies. Through the fusion of disciplines and perspectives, we explore the impact of information and communication technologies on social and cultural practices, critically examining the ways in which the processes of ubiquitous digitalization influence and transform all aspects of life at both the individual and collective levels. Key research themes of DigiLab include digital democracy, digital culture and art, and the ethics of artificial intelligence.

  • Organizing the annual international event EMERGE, which brings together scientists, technology experts, business leaders, policy makers, artists and cultural workers to discuss topics that shape the digital society in which we live.
