This thesis is opposed to the idea that Serbia is a post-secular country. The purpose of the study is to answer the question whether the processes of democratization and modernization of society are in conflict with the growth of religiosity. The post-secular state is seen as a possible “encouraging” factor in the democratization of society, as religion with its moral values and principles can be an instigator and mortar for democratization.
