This volume seeks to familiarize readers with various approaches to problems in ecology. Their diversity emerges both from the multidisciplinary heritage that individual authors carry into their theoretical observations, and from the various theoretical, ethical, and political positions they take on ecological issues. In three thematic parts, the volume provides insight into certain ecologically relevant perspectives and problems, while also opening up certain viewpoints and posing new questions.
