This publication aims to answer the question of whether we need Utopia today and if so, what kind. It starts from the historical origin of the term, then points to the problems of the utopian way of thinking, in order to finally propose a form of contemporary utopian narrative. Focusing on the form and the importance of utopia today, this publication serves as an introduction to a series of eight booklets in which examples of various utopian proposals are presented, from new kinds of self-governance to a different understanding of patriotism.
