The agreement was signed by Gazela Pudar Draško, Director of the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, and Neil Galway, Director of Postgraduate Studies at Queen’s University Belfast. This collaboration was established several years ago and has been reflected in joint research projects, events, and publications.
On the first day of the five-day study visit of master’s students from Queen’s University Belfast, two workshops were held at IFDT: “How to Make a Short Video” (Igor Išpanović) and “A Quick GIS Course: Maps as a Tool for Urban Planning” (Branko Milošević), along with two lectures: “Belgrade, the City of Cranes: Institutional Challenges of Rapid Urban Transformation” (Ksenija Radovanović) and “Belgrade’s Riverfronts Through Design Competitions” (Marko Ristić).
In the following days, students had the opportunity to explore the city on foot, by bus, and by boat, as well as to visit the Faculty of Architecture, where they worked in groups on proposals for improving specific urban areas.
The study visit was organized by Sanja Iguman Glušac, who was a guest lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast in October 2024, delivering two invited lectures.
