Mladenović Ivica
Ivica Mladenović was born in Vranje, Serbia, where he graduated from the Vuk Stefanović Karadžić Elementary School and the Technical High School. He completed his sociology studies at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. Between 2010 and 2015, he was one of the editors-in-chief of the regional intellectual journal Novi plamen, devoted to social, cultural, and political issues. From 2015 to date, he has been a member of the editorial board of the British academic journal Journal of Contemporary Central and Eastern Europe and the editorial director of the Serbian edition of Le Monde diplomatique. Owing to a scholarship from the French government, in 2015 he enrolled in a PhD program co-directed by the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and the University Paris 8. As a doctoral student, he was a Research Fellow, and since earning his doctorate in 2020, he has been an Associate Fellow of the Center for Sociological and Political Research in Paris (Cresppa), a research laboratory under the triple supervision, of the CNRS, and two universities: Paris 8 and Paris Nanterre. Since 2020, he has been a member of the research team at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory (IFDT), University of Belgrade.
He worked as a Lecturer at Université de Paris 8, at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics, and Law (FASSED), as well as at the Pôle Prépas of the Institut Catholique de Paris and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
