The Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory of the University of Belgrade, together with the Department of Political Science of the Georgia State University, the Department of History and Social Sciences of the University of West Alabama and the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, University of Minnesota through the project Introducing the First Holocaust and Genocide Studies MA Program in Serbia aims at establishing a network of scholars from Serbia and the U.S. who will develop a master program in Holocaust and Genocide Studies to be offered at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. The master program will be presented in academic year 2024/2025, immediately after the end of the project. At the same time, through online and in person lectures, what the project wants to bring to the U.S. is knowledge on the Holocaust, Roma genocide, revisionism and recent past in Serbia and former Yugoslavia, and what it wants to bring to Serbia is knowledge on Holocaust research, education and commemoration, recent history, and racism and discrimination are fought in the U.S.
