A part of the team involved in the project “Political Affects and Collective Action in Times of Crisis” (funded by Circle U. – European University Alliance) presented the project during a public lecture held on November 19 at the Belgrade City Library. This lecture was organized as part of the series of public popular-science events by the organization “Evgilije”, which take place once a month in the Roman Hall of the Belgrade City Library.
Members of the project team spoke about the motivations behind the project and its history, as well as the project’s infrastructure and the international partners involved. In addition, the team discussed the research conducted within the project, focusing primarily on the political role of emotions.
The theoretical framework of the project was presented through examples of numerous contemporary political movements, such as the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, the movements associated with the “Arab Spring”, and the contemporary student movement in Serbia.
