Elections – Democracy – Crisis (EDC 2026) is an international academic conference jointly organized by the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade, and the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw. The third edition of the conference will take place in Belgrade on 26-27 March 2026 and will gather around 50 scholars from more than 15 countries for two days of academic discussions on contemporary challenges to democracy, elections, and political mobilization.

Through a series of panels, the conference will address topics such as democratic backsliding, electoral integrity, political protest, and transformations of party systems in Europe and beyond.

The conference will be held in person at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory.
