The Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory invites the interested professional public to attend the promotion of the The Routledge Handbook of Architecture and Anthropology: Contemporary Approaches to a Cross-Disciplinary Field, which will take place on 16 January 2026 at 14:00 (CET), both in person at Aalborg University Copenhagen and online..
The volume, edited by Marie Stender, Claus Bech-Danielsen, Aina Landsverk Hagen, Madlen Kobi, and Ying Zhou, offers contemporary insights into current debates at the intersection of architecture and anthropology – disciplines that are increasingly intertwined in the search for responses to the ecological, social, and political challenges of the present.
We especially highlight the participation of our research fellow Dr Sara Nikolić, who will, together with Dr Dalia Dukanac (University of Belgrade, Faculty of Architecture), present their chapter on architectural and anthropological perspectives on socialist-modernist mass housing in New Belgrade.
