This volume represents a cross-section of the most important texts that address key concepts, theoretical frameworks, and current debates within the multidisciplinary area of memory culture studies. The anthology presents some of the most significant texts from the field, as the editors were guided by the desire to map the entire research area and its various problematic aspects as comprehensively as possible. The texts are organized into four sections, each approaching the issue of collective memory and memory politics from a different perspective. On the other hand, all the texts correspond and refer to each other in an interdisciplinary and comprehensive dialogue about why memory studies are relevant, how scientific interest in them began and is maintained, and to what extent they can relate to various areas of life.
