Description:
This study explores the agency of high-positioned women at state universities in Serbia, and their role in advancing the position of other women. The aim is to examine how they perceive their life and career paths, and whether they believe being a woman has influenced their journey. The research goal was to deconstruct gender stereotypes and boundaries in the most educated layers of society to achieve greater gender equality. The study addresses the differences between women and feminists in academic positions, where the latter are characterized by awareness of gender inequality as an intersectional phenomenon permeating higher education and science, as well as a commitment to changes toward greater social equality.
