Description:
The text presents visions and values contained in global vaccination policies and their implementation at the local level. In addition to the principle of universal access to vaccines and promotion of vaccination as a human right to health, the inclusion of the local community in making important decisions in immunization processes is highlighted as a particularly important strategic goal of the Global Vaccine Action Plan. The text points to the obstacles that exist in this regard at the local approach to implementing vaccination, with special reference to conceptual and contextual influences. The text then offers suggestions for improving local vaccination policies by aligning them with current social trends.
