The book analyzes discourses about population and abortion in the period between 1986 and 1997 in Serbia. The analysis includes expert and research texts, as well as expert reports and parliamentary debates. The book also features the voice of Serbian feminists, as critics of the nationalist policy of birth rate, that is, the patriarchal appropriation of female bodies for the needs of shaping and reproducing the nation.
