Short Biography
I am an Associate Professor at the University of Lorraine (France), where I teach systematic theology and contemporary philosophy. My research focuses on theological language, the epistemology of belief, and the relationships between contemporary theology and the social sciences. I completed my PhD in 2013 and obtained my habilitation in 2020. Publishing director of the journal ThéoRèmes, I am currently working on an IUF project on the political consequences of the social sciences of belief.

Research abstract
This is because the debate typically rests on a blind spot: the act of believing is taken for granted, treated as simple and self-evident. Yet theology, philosophy, and the social and cognitive sciences have long emphasized its complexity. This project aims to renew the study of the relationship between belief and politics in light of the sciences of belief, and in particular through an examination of its intensive modalities (credences). Is there a proper calibration of the intensity of belief? What are the theoretical conditions required to answer this question and to develop an ethics of democratic believing?
