Damjanović Milica
Milica Damjanović completed her undergraduate studies in German philology, specializing in translation and didactic-methodical direction at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She also completed her master’s studies at the same faculty, defending her master’s thesis titled “(Un)expressibility of the Holocaust in the Early Poetry of Paul Celan.” During her studies, she received several scholarships and awards for excellence in her studies. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Literature at the Faculty of Philology and a research assistant at the Laboratory for Holocaust Studies at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory.
Her research interests focus on Holocaust memoir literature, the relationship and role of truth and (auto)fiction in the works of the first generation of survivors, as well as the didacticization of Holocaust literature in Holocaust education.
