Research abstract

The current research aims to analyze critical aspects of technological entrepreneurship within the frameworks of the public choice research methodology and the epistemological approach of the Austrian school of economics. Rent-seeking activities can be identified in any element of the Schumpeterian model of innovation; however, this peculiarity has been widely overlooked in the mainstream vision. Filling this gap is becoming particularly relevant these days, when technology increasingly pervades economic and social systems and when behaviour of their different stakeholders can be shaped by technological means.
