Research abstract
Our proposal to reform the tax and social transfer system refers to a whole series of redistributive solutions in the field of social policy, health, and education. The goal of the research (especially the part about the justification of progressive taxation and equal opportunities) is to create a fairer and more inclusive society in which institutions would not generate a division into more and less valuable (relying on merits defined by market success) in which all citizens could feel that they are living a worthwhile life and in which social solidarity (in the sense of what citizens of the same political community owe to each other) is an integral part of redistributive policies.
