Zarić Zona
Zona Zarić is a philosopher and Research Fellow at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade. She obtained her PhD in political and moral philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure PSL in Paris (ED540, Archives Husserl UMR 8547), under the direction of Marc Crépon and Cynthia Fleury. Her thesis entitled : The Political Significance of Compassion, explores the manner in which compassion can be mobilised to promote a more inclusive society by drawing on the moral sensibilities of the broader culture. She taught a seminar at the Philosophy Chair at Hôtel-Dieu, Paris, entitled Care and Compassion: the individual and the polis, and is a Visiting Lecturer in Political Philosophy at The American University of Paris. She holds a law degree from the University of Belgrade and a master’s degree in international relations from the American University of Paris.
