[Conference] Critical social theory from the (semi)periphery (CriticLab)
Objective: initial contact and dialogue between researchers from two different social theories that we define as “peripheric”: Latin America and Western Balkans.
Guiding questions:
power, crises actually bear in the peripheral reality?
Possible outcomes – common grounds:
peripheries, to provide a common ground (or guidelines) for a revision (critique) of the “central” social theory? Or: Can, how and should we speak of a common orientation of a peripheric critique?
contemporary “central” critical theory?
