[CONFERENCE] Elections – Democracy – Crisis Conference EDC 2024 (ActiveLab)
On February 29th and March 1st, the second edition of international scientific conference “Elections – Democracy – Crisis” will be held at the University of Warsaw.
Over 30 researchers from academic institutions across Europe will present their research and participate in discussions on the impact of current crises on democratic and social processes on the European continent. The focal questions include the influence of economic, political, security, and institutional crises on populist tendencies, electoral outcomes and voter behavior, the emergence of new political actors, institutional changes, as well as the overall quality of democracy.
The event is organized in collaboration between the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory (University of Belgrade) and the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies (University of Warsaw). The best papers from the conference will be published at the end of the year in a special edition of the journal “Philosophy and Society.”
