A Leading Event on the Ethical, Social, and Technological Challenges of Artificial Intelligence

Belgrade, November 25, 2024 – The Digital Society Lab of the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory at the University of Belgrade, in collaboration with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research and Development of Serbia, is proud to announce EMERGE 2024, an international conference and forum dedicated to the ethics of AI alignment. The event will take place in Belgrade from December 11 to 13, 2024.

The conference is supported by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, USAID Serbia, the German Marshall Fund, the EU for You initiative, the OSCE Mission to Serbia, HTEC, and the Open Society Foundation.

EMERGE 2024 will bring together over 100 participants from around the globe, including leading researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. The discussions will explore the challenges and opportunities of aligning artificial intelligence with human values, social norms, and sustainable development.
