[Lecture] Viability of Ihde’s Criticism of Heidegger’s Romanticisation, Examplified by Artificial Intelligence (CriticLab)
🗓 May 4 🕒 12:30 CET 🔹 IFDT
Opposing Heidegger was one of the pillars for developing the post-phenomenological direction of positivist research on technics. Their spiritus movens – Don Ihde – “popularised Heidegger” as a “romantic” whose approach to technics cannot be properly applied today. The answer to whether such a judgement is justified or not and how much Ihde understood Heidegger, we will sketch with a foothold in points – Ihde’s text “Deromanticising Heidegger” and the nature of artificial intelligence.
