Panel Discussion „Plat-form“ at Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, Paris
The Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory is pleased to announce the panel discussion “Plat-form,” which will take place at Conservatoire national des arts et métiers in Paris on October 17.
The panel will address how the platform, as a metaphor, represents a central common point between architecture and philosophy, and how platforms, whether material or conceptual, serve as both starting points and places of transformation. The panelists will pay special attention to the analysis of the concept of care in architecture, specifically how spaces can care for the individuals who inhabit them. The philosophy of care, applied to architecture, is linked to the concept of khôra—the idea of a place of reception, without its own form, which both disciplines examine from different perspectives.
Participants:
- Zona Zarić (IFDT),
- Petar Bojanić (IFDT and Khōrein),
- Snežana Vesnić (Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade and Khōrein),
- Odile Decq (Confluence Institute for Innovation and Creative Strategies in Architecture),
