The panel questions the institutional paradigm according to which doing philosophy means producing certain kinds of theoretical texts. Participants will discuss experiences with possible alternatives to the dominant forms such as fiction- writing, hypertexting and gameplaying, against the background of recently published sci-fi novella “The Clouds” by Stefano Gualeni, in which the author illustrates a hybrid use of text utilising the expressive qualities of fiction, theory and meta-commentary.

Stefano Gualeni (Ph.D.) is a professor and game designer at the Institute of Digital Games (University of Malta) and visiting professor at the Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach (CA). Matija Vigato is a fellow of the University of Oxford, and a teaching assistant and game designer at the Department of Philosophy (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb), where Luka Perušić is an assistant professor, editor of two international journals, and game designer.
