We are excited to announce that Thomas Piketty will give a lecture next Friday in Belgrade entitled “A Brief History of Equality”. On this occasion, Thomas Piketty will receive the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory’s Annual Award for Critical Engagement “Miladin Životić”.

The event will be moderated by Zona Zarić (IFDT).

The event is organized by the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, Akademska knjiga, the The French Institute of Serbia (IFS), with the support of The Belgrade Cultural Center.

Thomas Piketty is Professor at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) and the Paris School of Economics.

The event will be photographed and recorded due to publishing on social networks, the website and other information channels for the purpose of promoting the event and activities of the Institute.
