Transdisciplinary art project ‘Pojavljivanja / Showing Up’
The project “Showing Up” explores performativity through a series of interventions in public space. Developed at the intersection of philosophy and visual art, and through the collaboration of artist Saša Karalić, philosopher Željko Radinković, researchers from the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory in Belgrade, and the Belgrade Cultural Center, this transdisciplinary project includes performances, installations, public presentations, and a series of short films.
As part of the 60th October Salon, a new version of the project “Showing Up” will be presented, consisting of a performance at Republic Square, an installation on the building of the Belgrade Cultural Center, stage interpretations, and film screenings in the hall of the Belgrade Cultural Center.
Participants: Literary critic Tamara Krstić, dramaturge and writer Vesna Perić, actor Slobodan Beštić, researchers from the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory in Belgrade, students from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade, and others.
Program:
- 17:00 Performance at Republic Square
- 18:00 Stage interpretations in the Belgrade Cultural Center Hall
- 19:45 Screening of the films While We Wait (2023) and The Longer We Wait (2024)
This project is realized in collaboration with the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory in Belgrade, the Belgrade Cultural Center, Snežana Vesnić, and the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade.
