[Workshop] Writing a Book Review: How and Why We Write Reviews?
Writing a Book Review: How and Why We Write Reviews?
Ivan Milenković, Adriana Zaharijević i Aleksandar Ostojić
A review or critique of a theoretical or literary work answers three questions: 1. What is the work about? 2. Is it written according to (certain) standards? 3. Does it have merit? Critique, however, does not only question what is being critiqued (the text) but also exposes the critic (their text) to counter-critique. Put another way, the critic time and again takes account of their own competence in each review. Writing critical reviews is part of the elementary training of every theorist.
Kritika Journal invites readers, writers, researchers, curious people, and anyone who wants to get better at writing to come for a workshop on how to write reviews.
