After the first working meeting held at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory in Belgrade in November 2022, during which the participants officially started cooperation, ShoahLab is organizing a second, two-day meeting on the project to establish a network for Jewish studies in Southeast Europe. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 24 at the Moise Palace on Cres. In addition to members of ShoahLab, representatives of partner institutions, ie University of Rijeka, University of Sofia, University of Solon, University of Bar-Ilan, University of Sarajevo, will participate in the meeting.
The meeting is of a hybrid type and thus the participation of representatives of the University of Trieste, the “Leinbniz” Institute for European History, and the Jewish Museum of Moldova was made possible.
During the meeting, further steps towards the establishment of the network, joint activities and the organization of an international conference on the topic of Jewish studies, which will be held in Belgrade in the first half of 2024, will be discussed.
The meeting is organized within the project “Network for Southeastern European Jewish Studies” supported by the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe
