During May 2026, members of the MINIPART – Improving participation in spatial planning of mining areas project team participated in the training titled “Developing Collaborative Scenarios through Geodesign,” delivered by Dr. Bojana Pjanović, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade.
The training was aimed at strengthening the project team’s capacities for applying geodesign methodology and participatory approaches in spatial planning. Special attention was given to the development of spatial development scenarios, facilitation of work with diverse stakeholders, and the use of digital tools for collaborative decision-making and participatory planning.
Through practical exercises and discussion, team members had the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills that will be directly applied in upcoming project activities. The acquired competencies will particularly contribute to the preparation and implementation of the workshop that members of the MINIPART team are organising together with external collaborators within the framework of the Participatory Design Conference 2026, to be held in Milan in June 2026.
This activity represents an important step in strengthening the interdisciplinary and participatory approach that the MINIPART project develops in the field of spatial planning and the involvement of diverse social actors in decision-making processes.
The MINIPART project (#7598) is coordinated by the Institute of Architecture and Urban & Spatial Planning of Serbia and implemented in cooperation with the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade, the Technical Faculty in Bor, University of Belgrade, and the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade.
