The Spring Online School “Dialogic and Inclusive Memory in the Digital Age” from March 23 to April 2, 2026, was organized by the Institute of Philosophy and Social Theory. During the ten-day program, 36 students from Serbia, Kosovo*, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Croatia participated. Lectures were given by six lecturers on the topics of dialogic memory, new perspectives in relation to the conflicting past, as in the example of Novi Pazar, positive examples of inter-ethnic and inter-confessional collaboration, historical revisionism, women’s experiences during the war, symbolic geography, as well as fieldwork methodology and academic writing. The online Spring School program can be viewed here.
The impressions of our students underscore the importance they attach to the programs for coping with the difficult past in the post-conflict region, inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue, and inter-regional cooperation.
