We are hereby inviting interested participants to enroll in an international, CEU-hosted, one-semester interdisciplinary online courses about the Balkans. The courses are free, recognized by CEU and several other universities, and attendees will participate in weekly online seminars and discussions/mentoring sessions. Students can also apply for a research grant (up to 800 EUR) if they wish to write a research paper and contribute to the student-led web journal, and to attend in person a 7-day winter school in Budapest in early 2027.
In Autumn 2026, IUSEE will offer two 12-weeks online interdisciplinary courses starting in early October: Introducing the Balkans (Dr Aleksandar Pavlovic and Dr Marija Mandic, detailed course description available here) and Wars for the Yugoslav Succession and their Contemporary Legacy in the Balkans and Beyond (Dr Vladimir Petrovic and Dr Sven Milekic).

- ECTS Certification: Participants can enroll in Balkan and other ECTS-certified courses offered by the Global Invisible University.
- Skill Development: The program provides intensive academic English training to enhance research proficiency.

- In-Person Networking: Students are eligible to apply for a week-long, fully immersive winter school.
