Miletić Bogdana

Bogdana Miletić is a PhD student of philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade and a research assistant at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory. She completed her undergraduate studies in philosophy in 2022, as the best philosophy student of her generation, having defended a bachelor’s thesis titled The Problem of the Metaphysical Status of Color in Margaret Cavendish’s Philosophy. She defended her master’s thesis titled The Naïve Realist Account of Visual Illusions of Color in 2023. During the master’s studies, she was a recipient of the Dositeja scholarship, granted by the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia.

The main topic of her research is the metaphysics of Margaret Cavendish. Areas of her interest are the history of philosophy, primarily early modern philosophy, with a focus on the metaphysical theories of early modern women philosophers, metaphysics of substance, philosophy of perception, contemporary ontology, metaphysics of color and philosophy of religion.
