The volume Pierre Bourdieu: Radical Thought & Praxis emerged as the result of the conference “Horizons of Engagement: Immortalizing Bourdieu,” held in December 2020 at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory. The book is a collection of articles by scholars from the Balkan region working on Bourdieu. The articles can be considered both an endeavor to familiarize the broader public of the region with Bourdieu’s work and an attempt to apply his theoretical concepts and methodological approaches to local research.
