The Regional Fellowship encourages fellows to conduct and present their research in centres across Southeast Europe. With support from host universities in Rijeka and Belgrade, they can choose a co-host in Skopje, Sarajevo, Ljubljana, Pristina, Tirana, or Podgorica. The award is intended for an original paper (without co-authorship) published in the past year (2023) in a scientific journal or a collection of scientific papers. Texts that approach regional or broader social problems in an engaged manner are considered. The texts should be original scientific works in the fields of social sciences and humanities.
The Conference Change, held from June 12th to June 15th in Belgrade, was undoubtedly one of the key academic events in the region this year. The conference gathered over 150 participants, notable for its scope, diversity, and quality of academic exchange. Attendees represented a wide range of backgrounds, including philosophers, sociologists, psychologists, political scientists, and more. They came from various geographies, encompassing the region, Europe, and beyond, with scholars from Latin America and Africa also in attendance.
