Hauke Brunkhorst is a professor of sociology and a director of the Institute for Sociology at the University of Flensburg in Germany. His areas of specialitzation are European constitutionalism, political theory and European politics. He is an author of multiple studies among which are the books like: Critical Theory (1999), Solidarity: From Civic Friendship to a Global Legal Community (MIT Press, 2005) which was translated into Serbian: “Solidarnost. Od građanskog prijateljstva do globalne pravne zajednice” (Beogradski krug/Multimedijalni insitut, Beograd/Zagreb).
