Varady Tibor was born in 1939. in Zrenjanin. He graduated at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade where he got his masters in Law. In 1968. he once again got his master at the Faculty of Law at the Harvard Law School where he also got his PhD in law as well in march of 1970. He is also a professor at the Central-European University in Budapest and a lecturer at universities of Harvard, Berkley, Stanford, Cornell, Emory and Sorbonne. He was a minister of justice in the government of Yugoslavia between 1992. and 1993. He was the main legal representative of Serbian and Montenegro in the International court of Justice in Hague. He is a member of the arbitral tribunal in Hague. He is a full member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is a author of about 260 publications in five languages. Among his latest books are: International Commercial Arbitration (coauthors: J. Barcelo and A. Von Mehren) 5th Edition West 2012; Language and Translation in International Commercial Arbitration, T.M.C. Asser Press 2006.
