Maurizio Lazzarato is an Italian sociologist, philosopher and activist who, after his studies at the University of Padua, moved to Paris, where he currently lives and works as an independent researcher. He is one of the founders of the influential Parisian magazine Multitudes and is a member of the Collège International de Philosophie. He is primarily concerned with intangible labor, labour force, the ontology of labor, precariat, cognitive capitalism, biopolitics, social movements, activism, and the arts.
