Hans Bernhard Schmid is a professor of political economy and social philosophy at the University of Vienna. Before that he taught at the University of Basel, Freiburg, St. Gallen and at the New School for Social Research in New York. His field of research encompasses the philosophy of social sciences, social onthology, theories of action, philosophy of mind and the history of philosophy (especially phenomenology).
